Meet your practitioner
Mariyam Mehmood
Mariyam is a biomedical science student with an eye for detail and a real understanding of how the face works beneath the surface. Her studies in anatomy and physiology inform every assessment she makes, from how a muscle moves to where volume naturally sits.
She founded Aveluré Skin Aesthetics because she believes you should know exactly what is going into your skin and why. That belief is taking her further: she is working towards a master’s in cosmetic skin science to deepen her knowledge of what truly benefits the face, alongside plans to study nursing.
Her aesthetics training was completed with MediDerma Training Academy, with CPD-accredited courses in anatomy and physiology, microneedling and skin boosters, and foundation injectables.
Clients are seen one at a time, with space to ask questions and a plan explained clearly before anything begins. The aim is simple: you leave looking refreshed and feeling like yourself.

Good to know
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes. Every client has a consultation to review medical history and discuss goals. For some treatments the law requires this before anything can be offered, and it means your plan is right for you.
Does lip filler hurt?
Most fillers contain a local anaesthetic and a numbing cream can be applied beforehand, so most clients describe it as pressure and mild discomfort rather than pain.
How long do results last?
It depends on the treatment, the product and your own metabolism. Lip filler typically lasts around six to twelve months; skin treatments such as microneedling work best as a course. Your practitioner will talk you through timings at consultation.
What should I expect afterwards?
Some swelling, redness or tenderness is normal and usually settles within a few days. You’ll receive written aftercare advice with everything to avoid in the first 24 to 48 hours.
Who can’t be treated?
Treatments are for adults aged 18 and over. Some treatments aren’t suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or alongside certain medical conditions and medications. These are all covered at consultation.
